Genome evolution during bread wheat formation unveiled by the distribution dynamics of SSR sequences on chromosomes using FISH

چکیده
Abstract Background During the bread wheat speciation by polyploidization, a series of genome rearrangement and sequence recombination occurred. Simple repeat (SSR) sequences, predominately located in heterochromatic regions chromosomes, are effective marker for tracing genomic DNA variations. However, to date distribution dynamics SSRs on chromosomes its donors, including diploid tetraploid Triticum urartu , Aegilops speltoides tauschii turgidum ssp. dicocoides reflecting evolution events during formation had not been comprehensively investigated. Results The was studied comparing patterns (AAC) n (AAG) (AGC) (AG) aestivum var. Chinese Spring progenitors T. A. Ae. wild tetroploid emmer cultivated dicoccum . indicated that there specific different from species each SSRs. They provided efficient visible markers identification some individual SSR hexaploid wheat. speciation, expansion occurred centromeric pericentromeric B accompanied little elimination other chromosomes. This result might be more sensitive “genome shock” changeable polyplodization. Conclusions evolution, displayed greatest changes (sequence expansion) especially polyploidization S genome, most likely donor genome. work would enable better understanding reinforce viewpoint originated
